Flights to Cornwall
Newquay is our closest airport and is a short drive from our school at Penryn Campus. There are several daily flights from London Gatwick (Eastern Airways), Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle & Edinburgh (LoganAir) and Dublin (AerLingus) to Newquay International Airport (NQY). This provides an easy way for international travellers to catch a connecting flight to Language Tree from anywhere in the world. Newquay airport also has some direct international flights to airports in Switzerland (Zurich - Edelweiss - there is also the option for a connecting flight from Berlin with Swiss Air), Denmark (Copenhagen - SAS), Germany (Dusseldorf - Eurowings), Spain (Alicante & Malaga - Ryanair) and Portugal (Faro - Ryanair). We can also provide return airport transfers to Bristol, London Heathrow & London Gatwick on request. Trains to Cornwall One of the most beautiful and relaxing ways to travel to Cornwall is by train. There are regular train services from most major UK cities direct to Truro. You can also connect with the Eurostar in London. The train journey from London to Penryn takes less than 5 hours. Come to Cornwall by boat For students joining us from Europe, you may wish to consider coming by ferry. Brittany Ferries offer a ferry service from Roscoff in France and Santander in Spain to Plymouth. It is then just 90 minutes to get to Penryn. You can travel on Brittany Ferries as a foot passenger or with a car. |

Megabus generally provide the cheapest coach travel in the UK. However, these do not come to Cornwall.
If you wish to travel by Megabus, you could take a coach to Plymouth and then take the train for the final part of the journey.

Trains in Devon & Cornwall
There is a fantastic train network linking lots of towns throughout Devon & Cornwall. Truro is located on the main train line with regular train services to all parts of Devon & Cornwall. This is one of the best ways to explore this beautiful region of the UK.

If you travel on the train regularly, it is worth getting a Devon & Cornwall railcard as this will give you a 33% discount on your train tickets around the region.

Local busesAs well as a good train service, there is also an excellent bus service connecting rural areas of Cornwall.

Car hireWhile you can get to most places using public transport, there are some special corners of Cornwall that are really hard to get to unless you have a car.
We often organise excursions to places like these. However, you may also want to consider hiring a car for a weekend to explore yourself. The RentalCars website is a great way to find cheap car hire. You can hire a small car for around £50 for a weekend. |
