Job Vacancy - EFL Teacher (Summer School teaching adults and children aged 9+)
Location: Penryn Campus, Cornwall
Period: June - August 2025 (depending on applicant availability - short & longer posts available)
Option for residential roles on campus for those interested in taking on additional responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, interactive English lessons for international students of all ages
- Tailor lessons to link with afternoon activities and excursions, introducing students to Cornwall’s culture, geography, and history
- Ensure lessons meet the standards set by the British Council
- Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to support their learning
- Collaborate with activity leaders and other staff to create a seamless student experience
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK
- CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, or equivalent Level 5 EFL qualification
- Native or near-native English speaker
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
Desirable Skills
- First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience incorporating local culture into lessons
- Experience teaching young learners (experience on summer programs is a plus)
Working Hours
Teaching roles start at 15 hours a week, with the scope for full-time hours for those interested in taking on an additional role as an Activity Leader, Residential Staff or a Management role.

Job Vacancy - Activity Leader (Summer School working with adults & children aged 9+)
Location: Penryn Campus, Cornwall

Main Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise afternoon and evening activities, including beach games, sports, creative projects and excursions to iconic locations like the Eden Project and St. Michael’s Mount
- Engage students in fun and educational activities, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure activities run smoothly and safely
- Assist with excursions, ensuring student safety and providing cultural insights during trips
- Coordinate with transport and venue staff to keep activities on schedule
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Passion for working with young people & adults in a fun, educational setting
- Ability to motivate and engage international students of various ages
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one (training provided)
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience leading activities or working with young learners in summer schools or youth programs
- Knowledge of Cornwall’s geography and cultural landmarks
- Flexible, proactive, and a team player
Working Hours
Part-time and full-time hours available.
